Work Service announced the Stock Exchange’s Company of the Year

Work Service S.A. has been granted the “Spółka Roku 2014” [2014 Company of the Year] title in a competition organized by “Parkiet” Stock Exchange Journal. This prestigious prize has been awarded annually for 20 years in recognition of companies that exhibited the largest developmental dynamics, as a part of the “Byki i Niedźwiedzie” [Bulls and Bears] competition.

Work Service has been honoured by the analysts of the “Parkiet” journal for a consistent implementation of the developmental strategy that postulated taking the leading position in the Berlin-Moscow-Istanbul triangle. The Capital Group effectively implemented the plan in 2014, through acquisition in Poland and abroad, and through dynamic organic growth. The effect of these activities is systematic improvement in sales and profit, beneficiaries of which are also the investors - says Tomasz Hanczarek, the Chairman of the Management Board of Work Service S.A.

We are proud of this award. Year 2014 was extremely arduous for us, and I can wholeheartedly say we deserved the Company of the Year title – says Tomasz Misiak, the President of the Board of Supervisors of Work Service. Since our Stock Exchange adventure has begun, I regularly keep track of and analyze our presence on the trading floor of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. I’m glad about our investors’ trust that is placed in us. This is proof that our business is ambitiously and boldly moving in a right direction. Year 2015 is also shaping up to be very active, which should translate into further growth in the quotations of Work Service on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. – adds Tomasz Misiak.  

The Work Service company debuted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2012, reaching the nominal price of the first issue share at the level of 6 PLN. The IPO contributed to the acceleration of the company’s growth, which was also connected with implementation of acquisitions and expansion into foreign markets. In 2014, the company executed a successful SPO with 2.5-fold overbooking, quoting the share issue price at the level of 16.5 PLN. According to the Temporary Staffing in CEE5 2014 report, presented by Interconnection Consulting Group, Work Service is a leader as far as the value market share in the HR market of the CEE-5 Central European countries (Poland, Russia, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Slovakia) is concerned.


The Work Service Capital Group has been active since 1999 and is the largest provider of comprehensive HR services on the Polish market. It operates within the entire area of Poland through a network of branches, and abroad in 7 countries of East-Central Europe (Russia, Germany, Czech Republic, Turkey, Romania, Hungary, and Slovakia). It specializes in HR consulting, HR restructuring, recruitment, and personnel outsourcing.
